What is Spirit Zone?

Spirit Zone is a Demoparty, a Demoscene related event, which will take place on Twitch on January the 18th. Digital artists will participate in several competitions which will be then voted by the audience. There will be other events like a seminar about the Demoscene (in Polish), a DJ set and a live coding session.

What is the Demoscene

The Demoscene is an international computer art subculture focused on producing so-called demos: self-contained, sometimes extremely small, computer programs that display audiovisual content. The purpose of a demo is to show off programming, visual art, and musical skills.

What is a Demoparty

Demoparties are physical social events, usually over a weekend, focused on presenting new demoscene content. They typically feature competitions of several categories, seminars about relevant demoscene topics and live performances of music and visuals. Smaller one-day online events, like this one, started to be popular during the pandemic of Covid-19, allowing for people from distant countries to be close together.

Competitions rules

All productions must be submitted by January 17th 23:59 CET. Please use the party system using SceneID.

Max running time: 4 minutes
